GrunnMUN REGISTRATION
Attention; this is not the registration page for the TEIMUN conference in July at The Hague, but for the one day conference GrunnMUN on the 15th of March.
Participation in GrunnMUN is primarily for native students or exchange students in The Netherlands although foreign students are also welcome to participate. Bear in mind this is a one day conference. If you are currently not studying in The Netherlands and you want to participate in the week long TEIMUN conference please register for TEIMUN in January.
Please read the following carefully before proceeding to registration.
Registration Procedure
The registration procedure for GrunnMUN is very simple and will only take you a few minutes. First of all you need to fill in the registration form (the link can be found at the bottom of this page). You will then be asked for your bank account number, for a direct debit of the conference fee. This fee will be collected due direct debit a few days before the conference.
Country and Council choices
During GrunnMUN all countries are represented by one participant unless you will be representing one of the five big countries in the Security Council. This year GrunnMUN will be simulating three councils: the General Assembly, the ECOSOC and the Security Council. Each council will only discuss one topic (because GrunnMUN only lasts one day). We give you three country choices per council and we will do our best to assign you to your first choice, if this is not possible we will assign you to one of your other choices or if this is not possible either, the TEIMUN board reserves the right to assign you to another country or council. We assign countries and councils according to a first come, first serve basis, therefore the sooner you register, the more likely you are to be assigned to your first choice. Also, we do not allow participants to represent their own country (their own nationality).
Conference Fee
This year the conference fee is €7,50 which includes a lunch and after session drinks. During the registration we will ask for your bank account number (Dutch bank accounts only). This is for a direct debit of the €7,50 conference fee. Once you have completed the registration and provided us with the requested information you will be an official participant of GrunnMUN 2010. You will only be eligible for a refund in certain cases. We do not give refunds two weeks prior to the conference.
Cancellation
Cancellation of registration with a full refund is possible until the 1st of March. After that, full refund of your conference fee is no longer possible.
Guarantee
TEIMUN guarantees that any information you give us will be handled with the greatest care. At no time will any information be passed on to a third party without your permission unless we are required to by law.
