Organisation
The organisation behind TEIMUN is made up of the board of directors, the staff, the journalists, and the honorary leadership committee. Below you can read what each of these groups does towards TEIMUN.
Board of Directors
The board of directors consists of eight higly capable and motivated students from the University of Groningen. The board is responsible for the organisational aspect of the TEIMUN conference. Among others the board finds a suitable location for the conference, arranges the workshops and social events and is the contact point for all the potential participants. Staff
The staff is responsible for the councils and the topics. The staff are headed by the secretariat which is made up of the Secretary-general and the Under Secretary-General. The staff are the heads of the councils where they manage, as it were, everything which happens and needs to be done in the sessions. They also decide on the topics and write the background papers for the topics. To see who are staff for the 2008 conference click here.
Journalists
The Journalits are responsible for the TEIMUN Daily and the Newsletter. The TEIMUN Daily will be published during the conference and the newsletter will be sent to participants at regular intervals in the months before the conference to keep them updated about the latest developments around the conference and provide them with interesting articles about the topics of the conference. Honorary Leadership Committee
The honorary leadership committee is a group of prominent (ex) diplomats and (ex) politicians. They are not involved in the day to day organisation of the conference but they may provide the organisation with advice or help.
