Mine Ekim

Mine is a “little-big” girl (age of 23) from Istanbul/Turkey. She went to an American college from the 6th to the 12th grade, and thereafter enrolled at a French-Turkish university in Istanbul: Galatasaray University. After studying IR for three years, she began studying Law at the same university. She has been a member of the International Law and Diplomacy Club of Galatasaray University since 2005. She has also participated in several MUN conferences as an organiser, staff member or delegate (Euroforum, Yata-Turk, CIMUND International Conference, LIMUN, TEIMUN).
2010 will mark her fifth TEIMUN conference (delegate/NAC05, vice-chair/ECOSOC07, chair/NAC08, chair/HRC09), where she will take up the role of the Under-Secretary-General. She also has work experiences as a tour operator and leader in various tourism agencies, as a project manager and translator in Marmara Group Strategic And Social Research Foundation (which has a member NGO status in UNESCO, OSCE, EFC etc.), as an intern at the Financial Institutions Department in DHB Bank (Nederland) N.V. at its head office in Rotterdam/the Netherlands, as an official translator for the World Bank’s Turkey Country Office, and as a legal intern at Shell and White&Case LLP/Turkey.
She is specifically interested in travelling, meeting with new life stories and entrepreneurship. She loves football and fine arts. She is obviously looking forward to TEIMUN 2010 for a memorable experience for all!
