Cultural Excursions
During TEIMUN 2010 there will be an opportunity to visit Amsterdam (the amazing capital of the Netherlands), the Mauritshuis (A famous museum in The Hague) and Madurodam (A minature version of Holand). Below there is more information about each excursion. Don't forget to email to the Participant Coordinators which excursion you wish to attend. During the week there will also be a change to Discover the Hague, you can do this whenever you have time and a tour will be given in the Handbook.
Madurodam
For almost 60 years Madurodam has been the smallest city in the Netherlands. Canals, gabled houses and all kinds of other typical Dutch scenes: the miniature city offers you the highlights of the Netherlands on a scale 1:25.

Mauritshuis
The Royal Picture Gallery Mauritshuis (English: "Maurice House") is an art museum in The Hague. Previously the residence of count John Maurice of Nassau, it now has a large art collection, including paintings by Dutch painters such as Johannes Vermeer,Rembrandt van Rijn, Jan Steen, Paulus Potter and Frans Hals and works of the German painter Hans Holbein the Younger.
Amsterdam
Amsterdam is the capital and largest city of the Netherlands, located in the province of North Holland in the west of the country. The city, which had a population (including suburbs) of 1.36 million on 1 January 2008, comprises the northern part of the Randstad the sixth-largest metropolitan area in Europe, with a population of around 6.7 million.This afternoon you will have the unique opportunity to visit this wonderful city.
