Tolerance - Delegates are expected to be respectful of others. Harassment in any way, including discrimination on the basis of race, national origin, ethnicity, religion, sex and age, will not be tolerated. Reported incidents of harassment will be thoroughly investigated by the Board of Directors.
Attendance - Delegates are obliged to attend at least 80% of all formal sessions, including the excursions on Thursday (if you have registered for one.) Please report any absence previously to the Board or to the Chairs of your council. If you neglect this obliged attendance, we will not give you a certificate.
Dress code - The dress code during the sessions and excursions is formal, meaning suit and tie for men and comparably neat clothing for women.
Electronic Devices - Delegates are permitted to use laptops during the TEIMUN conference, but only for conference related work. There is wireless internet available at the Mondriaan. Cell phones and MP3 players must be turned off during sessions. TEIMUN is not responsible for lost or stolen property.
Trash - Delegates are responsible for their own trash. After each committee session, each delegate is expected to clean his / her own area before leaving the room.
Smoking - The Dutch government has banned all smoking inside public buildings, bars and restaurants. (This includes every area inside the Mondriaan.) Nevertheless, you are welcome to smoke outside.
Alcohol and Drugs - The use of alcohol is prohibited during all sessions and excursions. The use of all drugs is prohibited on all conference locations, this includes during the parties and excursions. If there are strong indications of illegal drug use or possession, the TEIMUN Board of Directors is obligated to contact the police.
